Protecting Your Projector

If your projector has ever suddenly stopped working, started flashing lights, of beeped angrily at you, you may need to clean the filter. The dust that builds up on these devices is astonishing! Take a look at yours if you never have before and see if it has a filter. If it does, clean it out ever few months to extend the life of the lamp inside as well as the unit itself.

Here is how:

Look for a sliding filter, almost like a small lint filter from your dryer at home. 

Slide the filter out carefully, it can be very dirty at times.

I sometimes blow it out over a trash can, but you can also tap it against something to remove the debris. 

Replace the filter and power on the unit!
